the real cost reduction doesn't come from the scale of the facility. The cost reduction is primarily driven by automated production lines producing stacks. It's similar to solar, the cost of solar didn't come down by increasing the size of the panel, it came down through mass production. Companies like ITM and PlugPower (Figure 7) and others (Figure 8) are setting up manufacturing facilities, reducing the cost of stacks significantly over the coming years.
